Your photos stay on your device
Snaply edits photos entirely inside your web browser. Photos you take or upload are not sent to our servers while you edit, save or share them. When you close the page, they are gone unless you downloaded them.
Card links (Kad Link) with a photo
If you send a festive card as a link and leave “Include my photo” ticked, the photo inside the card (only that photo, already edited) is uploaded to our storage (Cloudflare R2) so the people you send the link to can see it. It is stored under a long random code that only appears in your link; anyone who has the link can see the card and photo, so only send it to people you trust. Photos are deleted after 45 days. The card’s words and names are not uploaded — they travel inside the link itself. Untick “Include my photo” to send the card without uploading anything. To ask for a photo to be deleted sooner, contact us with the link.
Sticker cut-out
The “Cut out person” sticker tool uses an AI model (Google MediaPipe) that is downloaded to your browser and runs on your device. Your photo is not uploaded to do this.
Camera access
If you choose “Take a photo”, your browser asks for permission to use your camera. The camera feed is only used on your device to capture the picture. You can revoke this permission at any time in your browser settings.
Advertising
We show ads to keep Snaply free. Ads are provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics.
Children
Snaply is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
